Modular armored truck

At the international forum "Technology in Mechanical Engineering 2010" the VPK company from Russia has presented several variants of its new armored truck "Wolf". "Wolf" is a modular vehicle, which will be the base for a big range of army vehicles. New armored truck is the further development of armored car "Tiger". At the exhibition, together with the armored truck VPK-3927 4x4 was demonstrated flatbed version VPK-39272. There was also shown VPK-39273 6x6 with a module for transportation of crew.

In the spring of 2008, DAF was one of the first truck manufacturers to have its entire product range (LF, CF and XF105) available with the EEV emission level option. DAF is offering its 6.7 litre PACCAR GR-engine in an EEV-compliant version, making DAF the first truck manufacturer to have its complete engine range available in ultralow emission versions. EEV-specified vehicles (Enhanced Environmentally-friendly Vehicles) emit at least 33% less soot particles when compared to the current Euro 5 emission standard. Just like the 4.5 litre four-cylinder PACCAR FR-engine in the LF, the GR-engine doesn’t need a soot filter to achieve EEV-emission levels. DAF offers the 6.7 litre PACCAR GR-engine in its LF and CF65 vehicles, with power outputs from 165 KW/220 hp to 220 KW/300 hp.

A significant new chapter in the development of British military vehicle manufacturer, TMV, begins at the DVD 2010 show with the unveiling of a fully-functioning six-wheel drive, six-wheel steer military vehicle in Special Forces guise. The TMV 6x6M SF comes just twelve months after TMV revealed the vehicle prototype that showcased the company’s innovative and flexible approach to military vehicle design.

The Holding Company AvtoKrAZ from designed and manufactured a special heavy rescue vehicle (SARM) based on the chassis KrAZ-63221 for EMERCOM of Ukraine. SARM - a specially equipped vehicle designed for the speedy delivery of emergency services, special equipment to emergency situations places, rescue, save and other urgent works, search for victims and emergency medical care to them, elimination of local fire, management of radiation and chemical reconnaissance, communications during emergencies and natural disasters.

SARM has the seven-seater four-door cab and compartment for storage and transportation of special equipment. A new rescue vehicle equipped with the most modern equipment to work in emergency situations, including self-contained stationary power plants with capacity of 30 kW and 5 kW portable, hydroelectric power station with a set of hydraulic equipment, self-contained water pump, welding equipment, diving and rescue equipment, acid suits, eight-seater motor boat, hydraulic crane from Swedish company Hiap.
