Avia
The Spanish company Aeronáutica Industrial S.A. was formed in 1934 by Jorge Loring Martinez to produce light planes. In 1956, it started truck production under Avia brand. They have a payload from 1.5 to 10 tonnes. Avia also produced buses on a truck chassis. All vehicles were developed for the local market only and had very simple design.
This stratege led the company to difficult times. In 1970, it was bought by Motor Iberica from Barcelona, which soon became a part of Nissan Motor Iberica. Since 1980, the Avia factory produced engines for Japan trucks. In 1990s Ebro trucks sold under brand Avia on the local market (known also as Ebro-Avia).
