MZKT made 7-axle chassis for oil industry
A new all-wheel drive chassis MZKT-800500-011 14x14 was designed for mounting specialized equipment of oil and gas industry, as well as to move them out of public roads. A mximum payload is 55 tonnes, and a curb weight is 35 tons. The obvious advantage of the chassis in difficult road conditions is hydto-balancing suspension. The easy control of the chassis provides by steerable wheels of three front and two rear axles. Moving the chassis on public roads is possible only with a permittion, with a top speed of 40 kph.
Behind the cab there are two 6-cylinder Caterpillar C15 ACERT diesels, with a capacity of 580 hp each. The movement of the chassis provides by engine-transmission unit placed on the left. One of the main advantages of the chassis is integration of the platform for the equipment and the frame of the chassis. This solution allows to lower the center of gravity, which positively affects on a stability of the truck.
