Toros and Cleaver are new russian armored vehicles
INTRALL industry consortium formed in 2003 by Russian private investors presented prototypes of armored vehicles Toros and trucks Cleaver in the Museum of Decorative-Applied and Folk Arts in Moscow . "Toros" was shown in several versions: with an open top, 10-seater wagon and ambulance. Armored vehicles "Toros" are based on BTR-60 chassis. Armored vehicles equipped with 4.7-liter turbodiesel of Minsk Motor Plant with an outout of 136 hp and 460 Nm of torque (at 2200 rev/min). Transmission is a five-speed automatic. Armored trucks "Cleaver" were presented with two and three axles. Both used ZIL-131 all wheel drive chassis. If the new Russian armored vehicles will be in demand by potential customers their production can be adjusted at the Ural aircraft engine plant in the near future.
