Production of Kamaz 5490 will start in September

Kamaz starts production of a new long-haul tractor KAMAZ-5490 in September. This car will be the first KAMAZ designed on the chassis of Mercedes trucks, which owns 15% of the Russian company. KamAZ-5490 will be equipped with a six-cylinder turbodiesel Daimler OM 457LA with a volume of 12 liters and a power of 428 hp. which meets Euro-5 enviromental standards. New Kamaz got a new axles from Mercedes-Benz and gearbox ZF. The cab was also borrowed from the Mercedes-Benz Axor, but it has the original design a front mask.
