Chinese manufacturer of commercial vehicles FAW showed a new light truck JL01. The front part of the standard cab for Chinese trucks in a style of Isuzu is designed according to a heavier model J6. The truck will be equipped with diesel engines CA4DD1-11E4R rated at 110 hp. There is a pretty nice dashboard with a simple instrument panel and air condition inside. Actually, nothing new. Just another Chinese clone.
This isn't new. This embarassing Isuzu copy was shown at the 2012 Beijing motor show. The CA4DD1 engine is a copy of the Isuzu 4JJI-TC.
The central government asks the truckmakers to stop copying and self-develop, to begin learning how to develop trucks on their own. But as is clear from this truck, government policy is ignored and the copying continues.
