Multipurpose utility chassis Urbin by Terberg
The URBIN, Terberg Techniek's new 2 metre concept. The URBIN (narrow-track) is the successor to the TS 1000 which was designed and built by Terberg Benschop. Terberg Techniek is the company of the Terberg Group that specifically targets vehicle (truck) production, vehicle (truck) modifications, special projects, service and damage repair. According to Terberg, the new truck is the culmination of client wishes and innovation. As a result, manoeuvrability and load capacity, in addition to the 2 metre width concept are the outstanding features of this vehicle.
Two versions of the URBIN will be made available on the market: a 4x2 and a 6x2. With a GVW of 21,600 kg for the 4x2 and a GVW of 29,500 kg for the 6x2, the URBIN has a load capacity equal to that of wider (commercial) trucks, despite its 2 metre-wide chassis. Moreover, the URBIN has a turning circle (between walls) of 14.30 metres.
At the Carrosserie Vakdagen show in Hardenberg, another special version of Urbin was presented. It is the combination of 4x2 Urbin semi tractor with 3-axle trailer. This made for Vioss company.
