Two new engines for Iveco Daily
The Iveco New Daily will now feature a version with a 2.3 litre, Euro 5, 146 hp engine and another with a 3 litre 146 hp EEV engine. The 2.3 litre, Euro 5, 146 hp with 350 Nm torque engine, is equipped with a new variable geometry turbocharger and the exclusive Multijet II technology, guaranteeing maximum efficiency. All of the 2.3 litre Euro 5 engines (106, 126 and 146 hp) are available with the new 6-speed gearbox, optimised to exploit the available engine torque in order to reduce fuel consumption. The second engine, the 3 litre, EEV, 146 hp develops 370 Nm torque with a variable geometry turbo and completes the range of vehicles that require heavy duty emissions engines due to their high tare weight.
In addition to these features, New Daily drivers can enhance their driving style thanks to the introduction of innovative technologies including the Start&Stop function and the GSI (Gear Shift Indicator) system. Combining the advantages offered by the new 2.3 litre, 146 hp engine, the new 6-speed gearbox and the Start&Stop function over a mixed route, New Daily can achieve up to a 10% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to the previous model. This fuel saving is even higher on city routes, where the benefits offered by the Start&Stop and Gear Shift Indicator functions are greater. Another new feature is alloy wheels, which are now available on all New Daily models with single wheels.
