UD Trucks Releases All-New Condor MK/LK series
UD Trucks Corporation (formerly Nissan Diesel Motor Co., Ltd) today announced that the all-new Condor MK (4-ton class payload) and Condor LK (5-6 ton class payload) series is ready for sale in Japan. The new Condor MK and Condor LK models adopt the same new cab design with the new Condor PK/PW. They also feature various advanced technologies accumulated on the company’s heavy-duty trucks to deliver outstanding fuel economy, environmental friendliness, aerodynamic performance and safety.
The new Condor models are powered by the GH5 (215 hp) and GH7 (245 hp) engines fitted with a newly developed common rail system that increases the maximum fuel injection pressure for achieving high levels of power and torque in a small displacement volume. Moreover, they are equipped with UD Trucks’ Final Low Emission New Diesel System (FLENDS), a urea selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system that combines an SCR catalyst for reducing nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions with a UD Particulate Cleaning (UDPC) device for reducing particulate matter (PM). All the Condor MK and Condor LK models meet Japan’s fiscal 2015 fuel consumption standards for heavy vehicles and comply with Japan’s 2010 exhaust emission regulations.
