V-1600

(1955 - 1979)

5-ton 4x4 trucks DAF V-1300 C were supplied in limited quantities to the local army. They had a modified cab from the civil 6-steppers equipped with a hatch on the right side of the roof. A 6-cylinder Hercules JXC 102 hp or Perkins P6-80 83 hp engines was used.

In 1964, the Marine Corps of the Netherlands Army received a batch of upgraded DAF V-1300 trucks. They were equipped with a new cabin with a trapezoidal grille that also had a hatch in the roof. The flatbed trucks with a wheelbase of 3900 mm were fitted with a 6-cylinder DAF BA475 engine rated at 135 hp.

In 1959 -1974, DAF also produced the V-1600 truck. The 6.5-ton truck was available with a wheelbase of 3580, 3900 and 4250 mm. They were equipped with DAF BB475 155 hp or DAF DD575 120 hp engines. Semi tractor version was called (T)V-1600.
