MAZ 7311 'Oplot-P' is the ballast tractor with two cabins based on the new short wheelbase (6550 mm) chassis and intended to work in combinations with 75 tonnes trailers or airfiled towing works. The prototype was made in 1973-74. Mass production started in 1975.
It is fitted with an additional third single door cabin for the crew of towed military vehicle. The tractor also got a winch from MAZ 537G. A short all-metal cargo platform has overall dimensions 4000x2800x437 mm. Fuel tanks capacity is 700 liters. Curb weight - 24850 kg, overall length - 10840 mm. GVW - 116 tonnes. Fuel consumption - 150 l/100 km. Range - 485 km.
