Since 1965, NAMI began developing of a bonneted truck tractor NAMI-058S with a 320-horsepower diesel engine YaMZ-238N and a cab, 60 mm longer hood from Ural trucks. It used with a two-axle 10-tonnes semitrailer Ural-862 as a part of active combination NAMI-058S-862 (12x12). According to its design it was similar to NAMI-058T, and was equipped with a 5th wheel from a Ural-380 which transfered torque to wheels of the semitrailer. The only prototype was assembled in 1966. NAMI-058S got a dual-clutch transmission, manual 5-speed gearbox and 24V electrical equipment from KrAZ-255, as well as front springs from MAZ-500. It also had a power take-off and two fuel tanks with a capacity of 300 l.

Overall vehicle dimensions - 7620x2500x2850 mm, curb weight - 10 400 kg. Maximum length of the combination - 17 320 mm, GCVW - 25.5 tonnes. Maximum speed during the tests reached 73.5 kph, fuel consumption in different road conditions - 37 to 116 liters per 100 kilometers, range - 750 km.
