In 1964, NAMI upgraded its 8x8 tractor chassis NAMI-058. The new model was named NAMI-058T. It got a new 2-place cabin with two flat windshields, modified configuration of the engine compartment and a new turbocharged diesel engine YaMZ 238N V8 rated at 320 hp. The new prototype also had a more robust steering system, reinforced frame, new drive shafts and wheels. The curb weight - 11 400 kg, GVW - 19 925 kg. It passed tests in March 1965. NAMI-058T was too complicated and heavy compared to serial trucks. That's why future developments under this project was stopped.
