(1987 - 1988)
After long-term tests Department of Defense once again decided to upgrade and test all vehicles in 1987 - 1988 years. The first eight upgradet prototypes appeared in December 1987. Among them were two samples of the new long wheelbase bonneted truck 5E6315, which was supposed to make the replacement of the production model KrAZ-260G. It was equipped with an enhanced air filtration system, as well as more strong tires in size 1300x530-533 (530 / 70-21). One of the modification was 15 tonnes chassis 5E63151.
