At the same time with the presentation of an updated medium-range CF, DAF has shown retouched light model range LF. The updated LF trucks are equipped with a new four (FR) and six-cylinder (GR) engines PACCAR. 4.5-liter FR engines range includes versions with an output of 140, 160 and 185 hp, while 6.7 liters GR series - 224, 250 and 286 hp. The electric motor is installed between the clutch and gearbox, and can operate as a generator, so when braking the released energy is stored in lithium-ion batteries, and then used for acceleration. The truck can drive about two kilometers using only electric power without the diesel engine, it is enough to move around in cities with a "green zones" prohibiting using of diesel engines.
