Недавно мы публиковали снимки необычного китайского грузовика FAW, очень напоминающего Mercedes-Benz Econic. А теперь в сети появились шпионские снимки такого же грузовика, но уже под брендом Dongfeng. Передняя часть оформлена по-другому, нежели у грузовика FAW - прослеживаются мотивы грузовиков MAN. Интересно, что грузовик на фотографиях не мусоровоз, как это обычно принято, а обычный самосвал. Или это у них такие мусоровозы в Китае?
Why do the Chinese think the Mercedes-Benz Econic is the ideal garbage truck chassis? American truck manufacturers build much better garbage trucks chassis, AND they are cheaper.
Who knows... German vehicles design for chinese always was goal to achieve. Maybe it's some kind of stereotype.
You're right. The Chinese have the flawed thinking that German design (especially Benz) is always the best in the world. But that's not true anymore. For trucks, B-B, MAN Volvo, Scania and Renault are all about the same level, and Iveco close behind.
American truck design is actually better for China. The engineering is much more straightforward. Repairs are easier, faster and cheaper. The Germans get carried away with overly complex designs.
Yeah but American trucks are ugly.
