General Dynamics presents new Eagle V for EU
General Dynamics European Land Systems presents an armored vehicle with 4x4 wheel configuration, which called EAGLE V. It is a further development of the EAGLE IV, which is already in service . EAGLE V has a higher load capacity and increased crew protection while maintaining an extremely high tactical mobility . GDELS recently signed a contract with the German army for the supply of 100 units of EAGLE V. To meet the increasing demands of mobility, protection and payload, General Dynamics European Land Systems offers a family of vehicles EAGLE, including the option of 4x4 and 6x6.
Due to the higher capacity, EAGLE V could carry more equipment on board or it can be equipped with a harder protection, depending on customer requirements. This highly mobile vehicle with a crew of up to 5 soldiers offers superior protection against ballistic damaging factors, mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Components of the vehicle are interchangeable with the tactical truck DURO, which provides a cost-effective logistic truck.
