FAW has updated its four-axle crane chassis CA5480JQZ. It received new generation cabin, which is based on the J6 truck cab. The chassis is equipped with local made WP12.375 engine with power of 276 kW (375 hp) and torque of 1500 Nm. At the BICES 2011 the N. Traffic company showed the 70-ton crane QY70U on this chassis. The maximum lifting height is 44 m (61 m with extension section).
This isn't new. It was introduced in July 2009. The design must be poor, because nobody is buying it.
Heh, maybe you're right. I was searching for this model, but haven't found any info. So I have decided it's new.
Why is an FAW crane chassis equipped with the ancient and obsolete Weichai/Styer engine (which is produced by FAW's competitor), rather than a modern FAW engine ?
