Mitsubishi Fuso will show in Tokyo green truck prototypes
Mitsubishi Fuso followed by other Japanese manufacturers just has announced its new trucks for the upcoming motor show in Tokyo. The company decided to focus on environmentally friendly developments. The first novelty is a new generation of hybrid light truck Canter Eco Hybrid, designed to replace the previous generation, introduced in 2006. The sales should begin in spring 2012. Hybrid will be powered by the world's first commercial transmission with double clutch DUONIC. Engine is diesel 4P10, working together with an electric motor powered by lithium-ion batteries.
The second novelty on the Mitsubishi Fuso's stand will be the all-electric prototype Canter E-Cell with zero emissions of harmful substances. 3.5-ton truck is equipped with a 70 kW electric motor with a maximum torque of 300 Nm and lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 40 kW/h. Travel distance without recharging is 120 km. The company is trying to use a hybrid technology in the heavy class also. Thus, Mitsubishi Fuso will presents the Super Great Eco Hybrid, which allows you to save up to 10% of fuel compared with conventional trucks.
