105 chassis for collectors
MAN Latin America has just signed a contract to supply 105 armored collector vans Volkswagen to companies Grupo Protege and Transnacional. 100 vehicles from this batch were bought by Grupo Protege. This is the second batch for this company - last year it was bought 400 such vehicles. A company Transnacional acquired the remaining 5 copies. The vehicles will be used to service ATMs, shops, lotteries, gas stations, etc.
"The acquisition of Volkswagen cars is associated with upgrading the current fleet of vehicles. And the new vans are perfect for our requirements, possessing excellent maneuverability, which is essential to our trucks in urban environments. In addition, they provide a more comfort to crew and more eco-friendly," said João Cappi, Director of HR and finance of Grupo Protege. Collector vans of this company carry out monthly about 260 thousand transactions, driving more than 2.5 million km.
Armored trucks are used Volkswagen 8.150E CE chassis powered by MWM Sprint engine. Wheelbase is 2850 mm. I want to add that clients can choose from several types of armored bodies from different manufacturers.
