New versions of armored trucks Ocelot
Force Protection Europe Limited, exporter of military vehicles, and the company Ricardo PLC, sent to Australia 2 new versions - cargo truck and command vehicle - of the armored truck Ocelot for testing. The Ocelot is a vehicle of class MRAP (with protection from mines and ambushes), weighing 7.5 tons, and has 4x4 wheel configuration. It should replace less-protected Land Rover 4x4 in patrols and supply missions. Protection against mines, as well as all the cars of MRAP class, is achieved by using an armored capsule and V shaped hull bottom along its entire length to protect the crew and main components of the machine from mines and roadside bombs.
