The new MPV by Tata Motors
Let`s speak about small trucks and vans. Tata Motors, India’s largest automaker, has announced the new Tata Venture BS3, which will be available in some parts of Maharashtra. According to the carmaker words, the Venture is an MPV that can carry up to eight passengers in its three front-facing rows of seats. The new vehicle is based on the Super Ace platform. It is powered by a 1.4-liter turbodiesel engine which develops 70 horsepower. Dual HVAC, power steering, power windows, reverse parking aid, keyless entry with engine immobilizer and rear wipers are just some of the features on this well equipped MPV.
The necessary structural rigidity is provided by a semi-monocoque chassis that has energy absorbing crumple zones built in. The new Venture van meets domestic market safety requirements, thanks to its collapsible steering and side impact beams. The Venture is offered in a 5, 7 and 8 seat configuration and a rage of 5 colors and 3 trim levels. The van will be available across 42 dealerships (20 passenger car dealerships and 22 commercial vehicle dealerships) in the first phase. Prices start at around INR400,000 ($8,750) and go up to INR500,000 ($10,900).
