Dutch rally driver Eimbert Timmermans has been involved in rally raids around the world on DAF racing trucks for several years. By the season of 2019, he is working on a brand new bonneted racing truck. It is based on a DAF CF chassis with an engine shifted closer to the rear axle. The huge air intake for cooling the power unit is well visible on the photos. With this layout, Eimbert tries to achieve the perfect weight distribution for his racing truck.
The spectacular bonneted DAF truck has the cab panels of the Foden Alpha, but the hood with a strange grille was made from scratch. The debut of the new truck was expected at the rallyraid Marocco Desert Challenge 2019, but it did not appear there.
