China made the first offroad camper based on a local chassis
For a long time, Chinese manufacturers of special campers used imported truck chassis, such as Unimog. But soon the situation should be changed. Beijing Man Site Special Vehicles Co., Ltd. made the first offroad camper called 'Monster' based on the 4x4 truck chassis of local production.
The unusual 5.99-meter long camper is equipped with a 6.7 liters Dongfeng Cummins diesel engine (285 hp and 1050 Nm) and 6-speed Allison automatic transmission. The 2-seat cabin is combined with the living compartment. The chassis with an air suspension uses Michelin off-road tires with a central tire inflation system.
Among the features: automatic retractable ladder, front bush bar with 4 fog lights and a special protective painting of the body. During the parking, you can put out an awning from the body that will cover from the sun. There is a kitchen, a sitting area and a huge sleeping place inside.
