FAW » 新大威 (New Williams) 2011

In December 2010 at the annual presentation of the company FAW, 2 truck with a new design were showed. Probably, the model will go on markets in 2011 and will replace the existing model. Design of the new long-haul trucks 新大威 (New Williams) is now significantly different from the J5 model (which was not before) and it looks quite attractive. The main difference between these families is in a type of used engine: J5 range uses Xichai engine, while the 新大威 (New Williams) trucks use Weichai engines. Although there is probably possible to order 新大威 (New Williams) model with the Xichai engine too, I met such a version for sale in Internet. Backing to the new models, the trucks are still equipped with Weichai WP10.330N or Weichai WP10.336N engine with an output of 300 and 336 hp, respectively. The model with an automatic transmission and 8.6-liter engine Xichai CA6DL2-35E3 with power of 350 hp (model CA4258P2K2T1EA81) also was presented on annual FAW presentation.
