In October 1953, producing of Unimog 401 / 402 models with a streamlined closed cabin by Westfalia was begun. The trucks were blandly called "Froschauge" - frog's eye. The trucks with 25 hp engines were produced from 1953 to 1956. Since 1956 the trucks were fitted with 30/32 hp engines.
