The heaviest model in the Astra's model range - RD50 - in 2010 has been updated. The engine is the same model as in the previously version (Deutz TCD2015 V8), but now it gives 500 kW (680 hp) against the 480 kW (653 hp) before the upgrade. Payload is increased to a ton and now it is 50 tons. The dimensions of the new dumper have been changed a little, as well as design of the front mask. So instead of rectangular headlights taken from the road trucks Iveco, an updated version received more effective round headlights.
