In the mid-80s in Australia a local version of the first generation of American model Mid-Liner was produced (which in fact is a European model of Renault). The American version was designed primarily for city traffic, but the Australian range includes heavier versions with wheel arrangement 4x2 and 6x4, which could be used not only for city traffic and municipal works, but also in construction. The Australian version could be distinguished from the American version by the front headlights, located on the bumper and not on the radiator grille.
