In addition to the presentation of Mercedes-Benz Actros of the new generation at the IAA 2018, Daimler showcased the Edition 1, which will be produced in a limited edition of 400 copies. The tractors will be available in both two and three axes.
It features special painting scheme with a black mask and chrome grille, while the logo received LED lighting. Four LED spotlights were placed on the sun visor. Edition 1 logos are on the doors.
Like the base model, the Mercedes-Benz Actros Edition 1 is equipped with MirrorCam rear-view cameras instead of usual mirrors. But its body on this version got a chrome finish.
The Edition 1 equipment includes seven packages. The first is the safety package, which includes the fifth generation active braking system — Active Brake Assist 5, airbags, and the Proximity Control Assist system, which tracks the distance to the vehicle ahead in all driving modes.
Next two packages are comfort packs that include an electric sun visor, leather steering wheel, LED interior lighting, a shaving mirror, refrigerator and other options. The fourth is a media package consisting of an audio system, table for a laptop, and an additional 12 volt socket.
The fifth package includes a folding table and sliding storage compartments. The sixth and seventh packages relate to lighting and consist bi-xenon headlights, LED taillights, and 'Welcome Light' of the steps. The Mercedes-Benz Actros Edition 1 can be ordered with a Big Space and GigaSpace cab.
