Schield Bantam » T-350 / T-450
After the World War II, Schield Bantam began building cranes on chassis of GMC trucks. After a while it became clear that the standard cabin with the hood was not suitable for these tasks. So the company developed its own single-seat cabin installed above the engine.
The old military chassis meant the use of old engines. Bantam cranes could be equipped with gasoline power units Chrysler or Ford, which were combined with a manual transmission. The crane used its own engine: gasoline Continental or diesel Detroit Diesel engine.
The main models were the T-350 with fixed boom and T-450 with telescopic boom. Crane lifting capacity is 8 tonnes.
