In 1968, DAF made a prototype of the military DAF AZY 2400 DK with Austin Western M62 crane. The 6x6 chassis was equipped with a 6-cylinder DAF DK1160 engine with a capacity of 11.6 liters and power of 156 kW (212 hp). Payload is 13 tonnes. Wheelbase is 4.6 meters.
