Following the highway tractor MAZ 5440M9 the company has prestented a new triaxial dump truck MAZ-6501M7 that meets the Euro-6 environmental standards.
The dump truck is equipped with a 6-cylinder in-line diesel engine Mercedes-Benz OM 470 with turbocharging and intercooling. The working volume is 10.7 liters. The maximum power is 428 hp. The maximum torque is 2100 Nm. The Common Rail system provides pressure up to 2100 bar. The engine is connected to the Daimler G230-16 16-speed manual gearbox.
To achieve the strictest Euro-6 standards, an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system, a selective catalytic neutralization system (SCR), a diesel oxidation catalytic converter (DOC) and a diesel particulate filter (DPF) are used.
The installation of a new engine required the use of a more efficient cooling system, which in turn led to the development of the original frame of the cabin. The chassis itself has a ladder frame of variable height.
The total weight of the MAZ-6501M7 dump truck is 33.5 tonnes (35 tonnes in version with a 9-ton front axle). The carrying capacity is 19.4 and 20.9 tonnes, respectively. Overall dimensions: length - 8700; width - 2550; height - 4000 mm. The maximum speed is 89 km/h (electronically limited).
The new dump truck received an updated cabin with a low roof and sleeping compartment. Its internal dimensions: width - 2440; length - 2135; height - 1687 mm. The interior of the cabin is completely new, although the first truck has not the final version of the cabin. Standard equipment includes power windows. The seats are made by Isringhausen GmbH & Co. KG. The steering column is manufactured by Daimler AG. A set of mirrors with heating and electric drive manufactured by Mekra.
MAZ-6501M7 is equipped with ABS and ASR, as well as ESP. As an option, you can install an adaptive cruise control system with emergency braking AEBS and lane-keeping system LDWS.
