Mahindra & Mahindra joins other 6 companies and has prepared a prototype of a van for the US Postal Service. The Indian company is trying to gain a foothold in the U.S. no matter what the niche.
The prototype from Mahindra looks higher than the currently used Grumman vans. Outwardly it resembles a prototype of another company — VT Hackney. Under the plush shaped hood is most likely a 4-cylinder engine that does not use hybrid technologies.
The driver sits on the right. The interior looks rather modern, but utilitarian. There is a push-button gear selector for the driver's right hand. The van is also equipped with a start-stop system and an airbag for the driver.
