Hino » XL7 / XL8
Hino introduced a new XL-series Class 7 and Class 8 trucks at the Work Truck Show 2018 in Indianapolis. They are called XL7 and XL8, respectively. Hino XL8 became the first Class 8 truck of the company in North America.
Both models will be equipped with a proven 6-cylinder 8.4 L Hino A09 turbodiesel rated at 300, 330 or 360 hp, depending on the version. They are combined with Allison or Eaton gearboxes. The GVW of the XL-series trucks — from 15 to 29 tonnes.
Hino XL7 and XL8 are available as a 4x2 and 6x4 chassis or tractor unit. ABS from WABCO is standard equipment with the electronic stability system is standard for the tractors and available for an extra charge for the chassis.
Designers also worked well to provide comfort to a driver. The cab and driver's seat has an air suspension. Among the other equipment you can find a hands-free Bluetooth, steering wheel controls, cruise control, and air conditioning. The list of active safety systems includes collision mitigation system and lane departure warning.
Production of the Hino XL7 and XL8 starts in early 2019 at the company's new plant in West Virginia.
