Kenworth » T350 / T358 / T388 / T359
In 2002, the T350 model was presented. It designed for short-haul and urban transport. GCVW is up to 46 tons. T350 is equipped with Cummins ISX engines with output of 330-400 hp and 10-18 speed transmission Fuller. The tractor is only 500 mm longer than standard cabover truck. In 2008, to replace the T350 series came a whole family under the name T3, which externally was the same as the T350 model. Available axle configurations were 4x2, 6x4, 8x4 and 10х4. The family included the chassis, tractors or construction mixer T358 and T388 families. The range T358 included a chassis T358R (4x2, 6x4 and 8x4), tractors T358P (6x4) and mixers T358A (6x4, 8x4 and 10х4). The models T358 were equipped with Caterpillar engines with output of 260-350 hp. Feature of this trucks is a sloping hood that improves visibility (except T358P model). Transmission is mechanical or automatic Fuller. GCVW is up to 40 T. As an option is available a sleeper cab. The more heavy range T388 includes a chassis (T388R) or tractors (T388P and T388CC) with Caterpillar engines with power up to 430 hp and the axle configuration 6x4. The hood is higher than T358 model has. The transmission is Eaton. GCWV is up tp 60 tons. Day or sleeper cabs (28"or 36") are available. The T388CC model is specially designed to work with a car hauling trailers. In 2010, together with the other Kenworth models, the T358 is updated and received the designation T359 (T359A for mixer chassis). Now the trucks are equipped with the Cummins ISLe5 SCR engine with AdBlue system and output of 260-380 hp. The engines meet environmental requirements ADR 80/03.
