JAC presented the first prototype of the new generation of heavy-duty tractor Gallop K7 in 2015, but it enter the market only in 2017. Equipped with a renovated cabin, Gallop K7 boasts a uniquely fashionable appearance and a much improved interior. Fitted with a MC13.54-50 engine (13 liters, 540 hp, 2500 Nm) which uses MAN technologies, ZF AMT gearbox and all-disk brakes, K7 belongs to the high-end Gallop K series.
JAC technology center cooperates with Magna Steyr engineering center in Austria and Automotive Engineering Research Institute in China Automotive Technology & Research Center to improve aerodynamics of Gallop K7. R&D staff optimizes K7 as a whole, ranging from exterior structures like roof, sunblind, gas curtain, and grill, to interior deflector in the compartment. The air resistance of optimized GALLOP K7 is reduced by 15%, which equals to 7% decrease in fuel consumption. The cabin has a flat floor inside. The overall height reach 3.85 m.
