Hino Motors Ltd. presented a fully upgraded Ranger medium-duty truck in the spring of 2017. This is the first full upgrade in about 16 years and marks the first time that a PCS system comes standard in medium-duty trucks in Japan. Available as an option on the new Ranger is equipment that detects the side of the driver and automatically controls safe following distances.
The updated Ranger got a new exterior and interior design. The new model is equipped with three types of new seats that are rated the most comfortable for commercial vehicles. There are some technical improvements also. The main feature is a new 5.1 liter A05C engine rated at 210 or 240 hp, which combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox. GVW - 8 tons.
