MoAZ » 546 / 546P
In the early 1960s, the first batch of a single-axle tractors MoAZ-546 with an experienced YaMZ 238 V8 diesel was developed and produced at the Mogilev Automobile Plant. An improved version called MoAZ-546P and went into a production in 1969 and four years later replaced MAZ-529. The main external design difference was a new functional angular hood and new single place cabin.
MoAZ-546P was equipped with a diesel engine YaMZ-238A (14.87 liters, 215 hp), dual disks clutch with a pneumatic control, 4-speed manual transmission with an optional two-stage reduction gear and leaf springs suspension. Most often it served for towing a new 12-cubic meters scraper D-357P and an updated earth moving trailer D-504A. MoAZ-546P had a curb weight of 10 tonnes and overall length of 4585 mm. GCWV was increased up to 35 tonnes. Fuel consumption - 110 liters per 100 km.
