In 1988, when hope for the most advanced model 6E6316 was failed, KrAZ developed 15-tonnes simplified version KrAZ-7E6316, built in the same year. It was equipped with two conventional flat windshield, armored lists mounted on the doors, new tires 1350x550-533 and the same engine with bigger radiator and fans driven by hydromotors.
