Ural » 5322 / Range "The Land"

Along with the two-axle prototype Ural-4322A the company collected two prototypes of a cabover model "Ural-5322" (8x8) with a carrying capacity of 8.5 - 9.0 tonnes. It was created as an upgraded version of the first 8x8 prototype "Ural-395". A more powerful 10-cylinder diesel engine was planned to use in the new model. The truck was equipped with a tilting steel cab, which was unified with KamAZ cab, but differed by a modified front dash.

The main design feature was an experimental KAMAZ-741 V10 260 hp engine. The prototypes were equipped with a 5-speed gearbox and 2-stage transfer gearbox, balancing spring suspension, winch, tires pressure control system and metal cargo platform with a canvas. Curb weight was 10.8 tonnes. Maximum speed was up to 80 kph. The factory met some difficult with starting of a serial production of the new V10 engine, that's why an updated range Ural-5323 with V8 engine came to replace this model.
