Since the mid-70s all DAF models got some refreshment. Old schooled narrow grille was replaced by a large rectangular made in a style of the top model 2800, started from 1973. F2000 and F2200 models were replaced by 2100/2300/2500 with more powerful engines and dual round headlights in the bumper. Lighter F1600 and F1800 models continued to release with rectangular headlights and a new grille.
