(1997 - 2002)
In 1997, the flagship model DAF 95 was upgraded and got a new index 95XF (Extra Forte). With the saving of the style of the 95th series the updated truck received higher doors of cabin, completely closing the side stages, and a new design of the front end. The interior was completely redesigned in line with modern trends. The engine range included 381, 428, 483 and 530 hp power units. Moreover, all the engines designed by DAF, except of the 530 hp engine which is supplied by Cummins. In addition to the standard cabin options there were other cabin variants available: Space Cab version with an internal height of 1.89 m and Super Space Cab with an internal height of 2.25 m. The 95XF is voted ‘International Truck of the Year 1998’.
