Since the end of 1996 theKodiak C6500 and C7500 trucks were available also with a sloped hood, which improved visibility from the driver's seat. This hood was unavailable for the heaviest model C8500. The trucks with this hood have become very popular, and the design of third generation of Kodiak trucks is closely intertwined with them.
