Result of the cooperation of a new joint venture SAIC-IVECO HONGYAN Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. became the long haul truck Iveco-Hongyan Genlyon. The cabin of the new truck has officially been taken from the Iveco Stralis AS, but received another design of the front side and own interior. Genlyon is equipped with local made Cursor9 engine with an output of 340, 380 or 400 hp. The prototype of this truck was introduced in Shanghai in 2008 under the Hongyan PowerTech name. The Genlyon name was formed from the words "Generation", "genesis" and "lion". Interior of Genlyon is completely original. Only a dashboard reminds Iveco, but has a more simple display.

In 2012 at the Beijing Auto Show modified trucks Genlyon M100 and S100 were shown. They are equipped with Cursor 9 and 13 engines, respectively. The 9-liter engine has an output of 380 hp, while 12.9-liter engine - 480 hp.
