Atkinson
Atkinson tried a German association of a different sort when it bought steel tilt cabs from Krupp. In 1968 Atkinson Vehicles (Europe) was established between Antwerp and Brussels with A.W. Allen, P.M. Yates, S. Eden-Smith (who had been apprenticed at Leyland and had worked for Sentinel from 1953 to 1956) and R.Van Pelt as directors. Sadly this brave attempt at breaking into the European market was not a commercial success.
