Thor Trucks is a Los Angeles-based Transportation Lab creating and deploying solutions to fleet owners. The company was later forced to change its name from Thor Trucks to Xos after RV maker Thor Industries sued for name infringement.
Xos is the abbreviation for the exosphere — the outermost part of the planet’s atmosphere. According to Xos Chief Operating Officer Gio Sordoni, he better reflects the development of advanced technologies in the creation of equipment for commercial vehicles.
