In December 2009, the first civilian version of military Mercedes-Benz Zetros 2733 has been presented. The first civilian Zetros will work on construction of high-voltage line in Finnish Lapland. This truck is the result of cooperation between Finnish companies Cargotec Finland Oy, Veho Commercial Vehicles and Eltel Networks (the last company is the customer). Specifications of military Zetros are ideal for use in heavy road conditions. The all-wheel drive chassis is equipped with a 7.2-liter diesel engine with an output of 326 hp, manual transmission Mercedes-Benz G 131 with a hydraulic drive (an automatic transmission is also available) and the design, which allows to overcome the deep fords of up to 80 cm (in standard) and even up to 110 cm (with an optional equipment). Civil Zetros has a slightly smaller height than the military version. This facilitates its transportation by rail and by air. Civil Zetros could be use by fire fighters, oil companies, utilities services, etc.
