The basic model Unimog 401/402 has been updated in 1956 and became known as Unimog 411. It was available in "U30" and "U32" versions with 1.8-liter diesel engine "OM636" with an output of 30 or 32 hp and wheelbase of 1720 - 2120 mm. In 1957, a new synchronized gearbox instead of transmission with constant mesh tooth has been presented. Firstly, it was installed as an option, but since 1959 become standard equipment for all Unimogs.

I have one unit of unimog 411 exactly like in those picture in excellent condition. I started the engine and it runs perfect except that the speed I could engage is very slow. Maybe I cannot find the higher ratio gear yet. Can anyone advise me of how to put on the higher ratio gear. Thanks.
