In 1992, the light-duty and medium-duty models have been updated. The trucks received a more spacious, fold-up cabin, with a flat sloping hood. Almost all models have the asymmetrical hood. It was shifted to the right for better visibility of road. Only several U140L trucks received full width hood. The light series 408 (U90/U90 Turbo/U100L) has a GVW of 4800-5500 kg and was equipped with 5-cylinder diesel engine OM602 with an output of 87 or 91 hp; or 115 hp OM602A turbodiesel. The medium-duty model 418 (U110/U130/U140) with a GVW of 7500 kg was equipped with a 4-cylinder turbodiesel OM364A with an output of 110 or 130 hp or turbodiesel with intercooler OM364LA at 140 hp. Interestingly, that the trucks have all disk brakes with ABS. The most of trucks were equipped with 8-speed transmission.
