The updated Econic has been presented in 2006. It has a slightly modified grille, 100 mm wider passenger door and new BlueTec5 engines with an output of 238, 286 and 326 hp, which meet Euro5 standard with the help of SCR system. The cabin, as before, is available with low and high roof. Wheels configurations are 4x2, 6x2/4VLA (middle wheels are controlled) and 6x2/4NLA (rear wheels are controlled). In 2008, a hybrid version has been presented at the Motor Show in Hanover.
